How to set up HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies in AdsPower

In AdsPower, open New Profile → Proxy, select HTTP or Socks 5 to match Dashboard, and enter that format’s details from GetIPProxy My Proxies. Check the connection before creating the profile.

    Find the matching proxy details in My Proxies

    Sign in to Dashboard → My Proxies. Find the proxy you want to use and click Switch format under Proxy parameters to view its HTTP or SOCKS5 connection details. Note the connection address, port, username, password, and the IP address for the final check. Use your own values, not the masked example below.

    Use the connection address and port for the protocol selected in the browser. Keep the IP address shown in My Proxies to compare with the browser’s exit IP after setup.

    Keep proxy credentials private. Do not share a screenshot with your real username or password.

    Open the proxy settings

    Click New Profile, then open Proxy.

    Choose HTTP or Socks 5

    In Proxy type, choose HTTP for the HTTP Dashboard format, or Socks 5 for SOCKS5.

    Enter the matching connection details

    Put the address and port from that Dashboard format in Host:Port. Enter its username and password in the separate fields.

    Check the proxy

    Click Check Proxy and wait for Connection test passed.

    Create the profile

    Click OK only after the check passes.

    Open and verify the profile

    Open this profile, visit an IP-check site, and compare its exit IP with the IP address in My Proxies.

    In the profile you just opened, enter this address to see its public IP: api.ipify.org

Troubleshooting

If Check Proxy fails, make sure Proxy type matches the HTTP or SOCKS5 format in Dashboard and replace any proxy details left from the profile’s previous provider.
